If you are a Child of God, here are some things you ought to be doing.
- Get Baptized as God commanded it.
And He commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. (Acts 10:48)
- Pray Daily
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; (LUKE 18:1)
- Read and Study your King James Bible
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (II Timothy 2:15)
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11)
- When you sin confess it to God
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
- Go to Church when the doors are open
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25) Find a googd Bible Teaching Church and attend every service. Contact us if you need help finding one in your area.
- Let your life be transformed and show your good works
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. (Titus 3:8)
- Give Tithes to the Church that you have joined. A tithe is 10% of your income.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. (Malachi 3:10)
- Serve God in His Church
Volunteer to help in Sunday School, serve cookies to the youngsters, or anything else that you might be able to do. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58)
- Witness to Everyone
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8)
Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. (Mark 5:19)
